Puglia

Puglia

Puglia is Italy’s third largest wine growing region after Veneto and Sicily. Just these three regions combined make more wine than Australia. Puglia is known mostly for its rich reds, and most of those are made from Primitivo, or a Primitivo, Negromaro blend. Worthy of note are the wines of Manduria where Primitivo excels, making a dense, purple wine of significant alcohol and weight.
